Nicole K. Webb: Career & Workplace Coach, Author & HR Specialist

Nicole K. Webb is a former “Perfect Patty” who was committed to doing everything by the book because of her fear of failure. She excelled quickly in her career because of the guidance she received and direction she followed, working tirelessly to have a competitive advantage at all times. Then in 2012, for the first time in Nicole’s career, she struggled with a job in which she truly was not a good fit. Instead of forcing it to work, she did the unthinkable and resigned from what many would consider a dream job in human resources to take time to figure out what she wanted to do next.

After being unemployed for two months, she found herself a more fitting career opportunity in HR while also uncovering her passion for entrepreneurship. She opened a career and workplace coaching company, NK Webb Group, in January 2014. NK Webb Group combines Nicole’s wealth of workplace knowledge, candid personal experiences, and encouraging personality to educate and empower individuals to take charge of their own careers and do work that they love.

Since launching her business, she has authored The Workplace Playbook: Strategies to Help New Employees Win in Their Careers. Her career advice has been published in Black Enterprise magazine,Sheownits.com and Careeranista.com.

Nicole has over 12 years of experience in human resources working for well-known universities and colleges. She is a certified HR professional, SHRM-CP and has an MBA with a focus in human resource management from University of Baltimore. She also serves as an adjunct professor teaching first-year business courses at a community college in Baltimore, Maryland.
